What's at Stake

Working families are at a crossroads in this country - 2016 will be the year when voters will decide whether we will build an economy that works for everyone, or one that just continues to benefit the richest few.

Union membership has been on the decline for decades; meanwhile, the income disparity between those at the top and the rest of us continues to widen. The decline in membership and the widening income inequality are not mutually exclusive.

To reverse this trend, we must support policies that both strengthen Unions and put more money in the pockets of middle-income Americans. That means supporting candidates who support the policies we support so we can turn around this decline both in Union membership as well as the income disparity for middle-class Americans.

Teamsters 117 supports candidates who prioritize working family issues, who prioritize investments in education, who support good retirement policies, and who oppose right-to-work-for-less laws. Please take into consideration who we endorse when you vote.
